Kan-Kan Outdoors: 'Eraserhead' Socially-Distant Screening on October 14th

Presented by Kan-Kan Cinema at IndyFringe Basile Theater

Eraserhead is a 1977 American experimental body horror film written, directed, produced, and edited by David Lynch. The film’s score and sound design were also created by Lynch, with pieces by a variety of other musicians also featured.

Henry (John Nance) resides alone in a bleak apartment surrounded by industrial gloom. When he discovers that an earlier fling with Mary X (Charlotte Stewart) left her pregnant, he marries the expectant mother and has her move in with him. Things take a decidedly strange turn when the couple’s baby turns out to be a bizarre lizard-like creature that won’t stop wailing. Other characters, including a disfigured lady who lives inside a radiator, inhabit the building and add to Henry’s troubles.

This event will take place on Wednesday, October 14th. We’ll open up the seating area at 7:00 PM and press play around 7:30 PM.

Weather
In case of inclement weather, you will be contacted via email. Also, as it starts to get chilly in the evenings, don’t forget some extra layers for warmth!

Seating & Safety
Due to the size of the space and safe distancing measures, attendance is limited so reserve your seat soon!

The screening will be held outdoors at the IndyFringe Pocket Park (719 East St Clair Street, Indianapolis, IN 46202). The space has limited seating for groups of two at tables with chairs. As this pandemic is not yet over, we will be following CDC guidelines and ask that all guests keep each other safe by wearing a mask until seated and maintaining a distance of six feet from others. As a precaution, we will also be taking temperatures with a non-contact digital thermometer at the check-in table.

Please be sure to cancel your ticket(s) or send us an email ASAP if you’re unable to attend the screening so that we could reach out to the waitlist to fill the seat(s).
