About the Speakers:

Karen Ann Hoffman is a member of the Oneida Nation of Wisconsin and an award winning beadwork artist. Her works are in the permanent collections of the Smithsonian Institution-NMAI, the Indianapolis Children’s Museum and the State of Wisconsin.
Scott Shoemaker, Ph.D. is a member of the Miami Tribe of Oklahoma and is also the Thomas G. and Susan C. Hoback Curator of Native American Art, History & Culture at the Eiteljorg Museum. He is a leading figure in the study and recovery of the Miami language and preservation of the traditional art of Miami ribbon work.
Jeremy D. Turner is an enrolled member of the Shawnee Tribe and descendant of the Wyandotte and Seneca-Cayuga Nations. He preserves his culture and heritage by doing re-enactments of the 18th Century French and Indian War and the American Revolution.
