Photography Before JPEGs

Presented by Indiana Artisan at Indiana Artisan Gifts & Gallery

When JD Nolan goes on a photo shoot, his phone never leaves his pocket. This modern-day photographer uses yesterday’s technology to create stunning, large format, black-and-white images: a box camera and a wet darkroom. Meet him and learn more about JD, who shoots, in his words, “what I see, whether it is nature, florals or landscapes. I see colors in black, gray and white. I think of my subjects as shooting their souls – the colors are eliminated.” The Indiana Artisan from Fishers will be featured in our store during Meet Me On Main, the monthly gallery walk in the Carmel Arts & Design District. Be sure to visit the sampling station in the store that evening, too. Abbott’s Candies, the oldest candy company in Indiana, will offer soft, buttery caramels to all.
