To inspire, educate and entertain through the experience of outstanding contemporary dance.

Company

Comprised of 11 professional dancers from across the United States, Dance Kaleidoscope performs 4 mainstage performance each season along with multiple performances and engagements throughout the city in collaboration with other organizations such as the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra. The company is known for their world class performances, and their movement is grounded in athleticism and technical expertise.

The Repertory

The Company’s repertory includes Hochoy’s works, choreography by Associate Artistic Director Stuart Lewis, company members and commissions from contemporary choreographers. This diverse and powerful repertory provides unparalleled breadth and unique experiences for audiences.

Hochoy has created over 70 dances including Scheherazade, Carmina Burana, COLE!, The Planets, El Salòn Mexico, Magical Mystery Tour, Rite of Spring and Les Noces. Recent works include Feeling Good to the music of Michael Bublé choregraphed by Hochoy and Associate Artistic Director Stuart Lewis and Star-Crossed Lovers, a full-length production featuring Hochoy’s Romeo and Juliet Fantasy to Tchaikovsky and Stuart Lewis’ Sweet Sorrow set to contemporary music.

Workshops, Educational Outreach and Community Engagement
Dance Kaleidoscope offers many opportunities for people of all ages and communities to discover and experience contemporary dance through workshops and customized dance performances. In partnership with Arts for Learning, Dance Kaleidoscope has been in schools throughout Indiana since 1992.
