These murals enhance the windows at 1625 Southeastern Ave., which as of September 2023 housed Diversion Indy. Diversion upcycles donated furniture into high design items for resale and routes the proceeds to organizations impacting homelessness. They also handle direct donations of donated furniture to recently housed individuals. The murals were created by the organization’s lead designer, Deanna Whetstone.

Deanna Whetstone is an “interior designer with a heart,” who is pleased to use her talent to serve others. She has completed multiple projects with the Decorators’ Show House, Home-A-Rama, Dream Home, and most recently named a regional winner in “Design for a Difference”, an International Design Guild contest.  As the proprietor of Whetstone Designs and the board chair of Diversion Indy. she uses her love of humanity to help impact homelessness.
