Fallen Deputy Memorial

Fallen Deputy Memorial

Memorial/Monument - Outdoor Sculpture

 695 Justice Way

On September 11, 2010, the Fallen Deputy Memorial was dedicated to honor the Deputies of the Marion County Sheriff’s Office who lost their lives while serving. This cast bronze depiction of a Deputy Sheriff saluting the American flag stands as a silent but stirring tribute to the brave officers who made the ultimate sacrifice.

Originally placed at the Marion County Jail at 40 S. Alabama St., in 2022 the piece was moved to the just-completed Community Justice Campus, which was developed to combine the county courts, the Sheriff’s Office, the Marion County Adult Detention Center as well as add a new mental health assessment and intervention center and a diversion program facility, and provide a legal services office complex.
