Mural - Traffic Signal Box Art
1000 N. Rural St., Indianapolis, IN
Artist Tosca Carranza was commissioned by Near East Area Renewal to paint five traffic signal control boxes along Rural Street, in a series called “I Love My Neighborhood.” The design for this box represents community: bees live in close-knit groups where every member has a defined task, and they stay focused on their individual and communal goal.
Tosca Carranza is a painter and art educator who lives on Indianapolis’ Near Eastside.
