In August of 2020, local artist Stacie Drane was asked to create a community art project for downtown Bargersville as part of the Johnson County Community Foundation. JCCF’s Color the County program is an artful collaboration that connects people who care with causes that matter, including improving the cultural fabric of the community through public art. The mural was painted with help from the community on the west wall facing Baldwin St. The mural design was inspired by the local community of both rural towns and larger cities and a love for all the people who live there. Drane hopes that her design inspires feelings of compassion, unity, and hope.
