This piece of street art portrays a young woman with African-style tribal paint on her face and body. The artist’s goal was to connect the largely Black community surrounding the site to their African heritage, and provide something to inspire the neighborhood.

Michael “Kwazar” Martin is an Indianapolis-based painter, muralist, and street artist. He is self-taught and counts popular culture, Black and African heritage, and sports among his artistic influences.
