Flame of Bicentennial Park

Standing over 12 feet tall at its highest point, this interactive and visually striking stainless steel sculpture sits prominently at the main intersection of downtown Mooresville within Bicentennial Park.  It was designed by Rundell Ernstberger Associates and fabricated locally by Linel.

The symbolism of this piece draws from the Town’s proud heritage as being the home of the state flag; the piece was commissioned to mark the centennial anniversary of the flag’s adoption. The center ... view more »
