The theme of this mural is the upward trajectory of East 10th St. When developing the design, the artist saw a patchwork of people all proud to inhabit this budding community and participate in its revival, and rendered two perceptions: a “day” and a “night” in the neighborhood. Cheer, goodwill, community, and vibrancy are expressed in the mural, with the overarching idea being connection. Like the mural, the community is greater than the sum of its parts.
