Simms served in the US Navy from 1957-59, and after a full career as a product designer turned to creating sculpture. This sculpture is made of aircraft aluminum and measures 9’ w x 9’ d x 12’ h. It pivots on one point in accordance with the prevailing wind speed, and the surface is polished and cut to reflect light.
