Mountain Run

This bronze sculpture of a bear poised as if to leap on a salmon in a running stream stands in front of the corporate office of Marian Inc., an international manufacturer of precision-milled metal parts and components. The sculpture was purchased by the company.

Artist Tim Cherry specializes in wildlife sculpture, informed by both his experience as a mountain guide in the wilderness of his native Canada and deep knowledge of animal anatomy learned through professional work as a taxidermist. His work is distinguished by being as abstract as possible while still retaining faithfulness to the form and musculature of his subjects.
