This sculpture portrays four musicians–a cellist, a violinist, a French horn player, and a pianist–in the act of performing in concert. They are in evening dress. Only one of the figures, the pianist, is depicted in full length: the others are partial figures, with only enough of their bodies shown to interact with their instruments, which are the focal points of the sculpture.
