Biddle and Frankel’s mural acts as a metaphor for Freewheelin’ Community Bikes and the community it serves. As a non-profit organization, Freewheelin’ provides bikes and bike education to local students. The sunrise depicted in the mural incorporates bicycle elements and symbolizes promise and hope for students and community members alike. Sunrise was one of 46 murals commissioned by the Arts Council of Indianapolis as part of its nationally renowned 46 for XLVI mural initiative.
