The Jazz Kitchen opened its doors in 1994 as Indy’s premier destination for jazz and beyond. Recognized as one of the “Top 100 Jazz Clubs in the World” by Downbeat Magazine, The Jazz Kitchen presents a wide variety of local, regional and international jazz artists in an intimate 140 seat supper club style venue. Past notable performers include Harry Connick Jr., Ray Brown, JJ Johnson, Jane Monheit, Maynard Ferguson, Billy Cobham, Diane Schuur, John Scofield, Soulive, James Moody, David “Fathead” Newman and Dee Dee Bridgewater. The Jazz Kitchen menu is NOLA meets Midwest cuisine. A touch of the “Big Easy” represented by Satchmo’s Etoufee, Not-So-Cajun Chicken, ‘po boys and Crescent City Crab Cakes complementing midwest fresh-from-the butcher steaks, chops and burgers. In February 2009, the corporate partnership of The Jazz Kitchen and the Indianapolis Jazz Foundation took over production of the Indy Jazz Fest, an annual festival held in September. www.thejazzkitchen.com

The Vogue Nightclub in Broad Ripple is one the most popular and storied venues in the Midwest. The Vogue opened as a movie theater on June 18, 1938. Through the next 3 decades, The Vogue was one of the premier movie houses in the Midwest. In the 70′s The Vogue’s image shifted a bit when it became an X rated movie theater, and even featured cult classic “Deep Throat”. On December 31, 1977, The Vogue opened as a nightclub. Since our opening in the late 70′s, The Vogue has continuously been considered the top nightspot in Indianapolis. Many great bands and artists have performed here over the past 25 years including Warren Zevon, Bo Diddley, Willie Nelson, The Ramones, John Hiatt, Blondie, Johnny Cash, Bonnie Raitt, The White Stripes, The Flaming Lips, Cheap Trick, The Red Hot Chili Peppers, David Byrne, Rusted Root, Bob Weir & Mickey Hart of the Grateful Dead, Frank Zappa, Govt Mule, Keb’ Mo’, John Mayer, Kings of Leon, Ice Cube, The Dave Matthews Band, and many many more! Not only are they known for great concerts, but over the past 10 years, they have been the #1 dance club in Indy, as well. Every Wednesday and Saturday night, we are host to some of the hottest dance parties in Indiana. Spinning everything from retro to top 40, hip hop and techno, The Vogue’s dance nights are considered the place to be seen. Their goal is best expressed in our mission statement: To provide customers with the highest possible entertainment value in a nightclub setting. To achieve this goal, they provide the best service, the best drinks and the best in live music and the best in recorded music dance club formats. This has been and continues to be the goal of The Vogue!
