A DJ’s rock/pop Mothership and a French masterpiece as a choreographic symphony!

The Philharmonic Orchestra of Indianapolis presents a pop/rock symphony, Mothership, and a French masterpiece in concert November 19 at Pike Performing Arts Center.

Our November Concert feels the season of change upon us.  As the cycles of Mother earth (at least here in Indiana) reveal ancient revelations of our existence, this concert embraces multiple perspectives.  Baroque composer Heinrich Biber’s Battalia tells a story around an historic battle, with the armies celebrating their heritage, while later mourning the tragic struggle.  Whitacre’s Lux Aurumque moves from the tragedy of the Battalia to a calm, cosmic place… While we are momentarily ... view more »
