It is such a simple idea: a bakery bag, with a cup of sand in the bottom and a candle lining the sidewalk and steps. In 1976, the Irvington Community Council sought to symbolize and celebrate communityin an old urban neighborhood. Last year over 13,000 candles lite private homes and public areas and this year we invite you to enjoy the party. If you live in Irvington, light at least 5 bags and visit.
