In celebration of America Recycles Day, the Columbus Area Visitors Center and the Lincoln-Central Neighborhood Family Center are pleased to present a show featuring professional artists who creatively reuse and recycle materials. This juried show will be held at The Commons in downtown Columbus, Indiana from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m., EST on Saturday, November 13, 2021

Eligibility: Any artist who uses scrap materials or repurposes and/or recycles materials to make art or fine crafts may apply. The participant must use solid waste, at least in part, to create the work. A few artists who work with natural materials also will be accepted. The exhibiting artist must show only his or her own art or fine crafts and be present at the show the entire time.

Materials to Accompany Application: You must submit at least three digital photos (on disk) of your work and one of your booth. If you prefer, you may send them online to kidatart@kid-at-art.com. Please include your name, title of work, and medium. If you wish to have disks returned, you must enclose a self-addressed, stamped envelope with your application. For additional information, contact the LCNFC at 812-379-1630.

Booth Space: Two chairs will be provided. The Commons will furnish some tables, but you must request one when you apply. They will be given to the first applicants whose works are accepted. You must furnish a table covering and provide a backdrop, if you require one, to hang your work. Some electrical outlets are available, and they will be given to those who are first to apply. Each booth space is approximately 10' x 10'.

Additional Rules of Participation: The individual who is exhibiting must create all work shown. You will be asked to remove items not in accordance with show rules. Artists whose works are accepted give permission to the Déjà Vu Art and Fine Craft Show committee to use photos of their work for publicity and advertising purposes.

Jury Fee, Mailing Address, and Deadline: By June 14, mail your application, along with a $10 jury fee, to Déjà Vu, c/o LCNFC, 1039 Sycamore St., Columbus IN 47201. Make the check payable to LCNFC with the words Déjà Vu Jury Fee in the memo section. Artists will be notified by e-mail regarding their entry status by July 6.

Booth fees: If accepted, a $100 booth space rental fee is due by July 25. Please make your check payable to LCNFC, and note Déjà Vu in the memo section. Payment is a commitment to exhibit. No refunds will be issued after August 31. Due to the unusual circumstances caused by the pandemic, if the show must be cancelled after this date, artists will receive a $65 refund. The remainder of your rental fee of $35 will be used to defray advertising costs.

  1. Hello!
I am interested in exhibiting my upcycled and recycled creations at your art & craft fair.
How many years has this event been running, not including 2020?
What is the total number of booth spaces available, and how many artists regularly attend?
What is the average number of patrons that come to the show?

    Thank you for your response!
