2020 Arts Gala Application Callout
The Plainfield-Guilford Township Public Library has opened applications for consideration for 2020 Arts Gala fundraiser, Friday, May 1 – Sunday, May 3, 2020.
Every spring the library hosts a weekend art sale and fundraiser. Now in its eighth year, the Arts Gala has become an annual community event which continues to grow in sales and community interest. This year’s Arts Gala will go towards raising money to help fund a Nursing Nook at the library.
This spring the Plainfield Arts Gala’s Starlight Reception will be held on Friday, May 1 with live music, food trucks, wine, and craft beer. The fundraiser continues through Saturday, May 2 and Sunday, May 3, 2020 during library business hours.
Over the past seven years the Arts Gala fundraiser has sold over $100,000 in local artwork, raised over $30,000 for library projects and initiatives, partnered with over 50 community partners and sponsors, worked with over 150 local artists, and drawn over 5,000 attendees.
In addition to traditional artists, they are looking for artisans with artisanal goods such as soap, woodworking crafts, essential oils, popcorn, beauty products, textiles, and much more. Pay a flat exhibit fee for the weekend, and enjoy 100% of your product sales!
Artists and artisans are invited to submit work to be considered for 2020 Arts Gala now through February 29. Exhibit fees are $75 for 3D exhibit booth space, $50 for exhibit wall space, or $100 for both. Artists must be present to conduct sales throughout the weekend. Simply visit www.plainfieldlibrary.net/artsgala and fill out the application form by Saturday, February 29, 2020.
All artists will be notified as to their status in early February 2020. For questions please contact artsgala@plainfieldllibrary.net.
