Storytelling Arts of Indiana promotes the art of storytelling by creating opportunities in Indiana for diverse audiences of all ages to listen and share stories and by showcasing tellers who entertain and inspire. Our education programs includes workshops, residencies and performances.

How to Tell World Folktales
In this workshop/residency, students will listen and read folktales, learn how to tell folktales as well as learn how to evaluate and coach each other in the art of storytelling.
Classroom setting. No technical requirements
$500 (includes a planning meeting with the teacher and five hours in the classroom)
SL.1 – Learning Outcome for Speaking and Listening: Develop and apply effective communication skills through speaking and active listening
SL.2 – Discussion and Collaboration: Develop and apply reciprocal communication skills by participating in a range of collaborative discussions

Storytelling Arts of Indiana uses the best storytellers in the state for this program. The storytellers have been hired many times for various programs sponsored by Storytelling Arts of Indiana.
In case of weather or other types of emergency, the storyteller and the school may reschedule within the same school year for a date and time that works for both parties. A school may cancel up to 30 days notice for no reason.
