Celebrations of Creativity and Craftsmanship

The Paintings of Jerry Mannell.  Artist statement:  I am an image-oriented painter, oftentimes breaking the boundaries between?the abstract and the representational. This resulting context provides a conceptual potential that I try to exploit. In a more literal vein, I find myself pursuing a metaphor or creating an icon consistent with universal themes. Either way, I hope to engage the viewer conceptually.
