“Color Blind” is a play that aims to invite audience reflection and discussion on how deeply racism is interwoven in our environmental perceptions, social relations, and cultural traditions.
FOCUS Families Initiative, IDOCWatch, and the Indianapolis Liberation Center present “Color Blind,” a play written and directed by Sincere, a formerly incarcerated woman who is an active organizer with all three organizations. Sincere initially wrote the play for the 2019 Black History Program while in captivity at Rockville Correctional Facility. However, the prison administration censored the play and denied her ability to execute it because it was “too real.”
