Free Summer Concert

The Phil closes its 75th season with a free outdoor concert in Garfield Park.  Orcenth Smith picks up the baton and leads the orchestra in a program of light classics, movie themes; and patriotic songs.  Dr. Abigail David of our cello section will guest conduct the National Emblem March.  Members of our Symphonic Gospel Choir, Alfonzo Carter and Juanyette Smith will perform The Prayer with Choir Director Reginald Walters.

Batman, Superman, Captain America, and Simba will be celebrated.  We will pay tribute to Indiana’s bicentenial.  The entire family is invited to dance and sing along.
