Global Fest

Think global and fest local Saturday, September 15th at Global Fest! Celebrate culture and community with live world music, international food trucks, global kids zone, artisans and more. From noon to 10 pm, the festival takes place at 4550 Central Avenue, on the grounds of Northwood Christian Church. Admission is free and secure bike and stroller parking is available.

• GLOBAL ARTISANS with up to 20 globally-inspired artists, including Bali-inspired jewelry by Sue Wagman, Latino woodcarvings by Carlos Sosa, and Japanese ink paintings by Yoshimi Fuqua.
• GLOBAL STAGE featuring Chinese shadow puppets, Brave Youth Society, the Richens/Timm Academy of Irish Dance and more by day… and by night Afro-pop band Sweet Poison Victim, and Latin-fusion band Grupo Bembé.
• INTERNATIONAL FOOD & DRINK TRUCKS representing India, Venezuela, Italy, Jamaica, Asia and more, plus a wine and beer garden including fresh local beer from Sun King Brewery.
• GLOBAL KIDS with a giant piñata smashing, henna painting, Australian Aboriginal dot painting, Swiss sack gumpen (potato sack races), bocce, badminton and more. Kids can also earn passport stamps for free prizes from Under The Sun Discount Market
