Each Thursday in May, Indiana Landmarks will stage an entertaining walking tour, turning the spotlight on a different historic Indianapolis neighborhood. The Preservation Month tour on May 12 visits Herron-Morton Place, an area that transitioned from a Civil War camp and the first state fairgrounds into a residential neighborhood that is now a nationally and locally designated historic district.
The 90-minute tours involve a one- to one-and-a-half-mile walk led by residents of the neighborhoodView more
The timed entry tours allow you to buy a ticket for 6 p.m., 6:15 p.m., 6:30 p.m., or 6:45 p.m. Each week’s tour costs $10 per person ($8 per Indiana Landmarks member and resident of the tour neighborhood) and reservations are required.
