The 2021–22 DeHaan Classical Series is a grand world tour of musical masterworks. Enjoy musical postcards, a sampling of the immense musical catalog of different countries, regions, and cultures, and guest artists from around the world.
German conductor Kevin John Edusei brings Germany into the spotlight with renowned German cellist Maximilian Hornung as he plays Victor Herbert’s influential Cello Concerto, a stylistic piece with Irish, German, and American components. Contemporary German composer Wolfgang Rihm brings us a lush waltz, while Brahms’ crowd-pleasing fourth and final symphony looked apprehensively toward the 20th century.
