MARCH 18 CANCELLED Indy Story Slam

Gather your friends to participate in the Indy Story Slam produced by the Garfield Park Arts Center and Storytelling Arts of Indiana. The Slam theme will be announced prior to each event (check the Storytelling Arts & GPAC Facebook event or website for updates). These up-to-five minute personal stories must be true, told in the first person, and based on the theme. The theme is broad and may be interpreted many ways (no props nor reading from the page).

The slam judges are picked from the audience along with a time keeper and score keeper so if you don’t want to tell, you can still participate. Our host, Celestine Bloomfield, will pick ten names of those who want to tell from a hat at the top of the show.

First, second, and third place winners are awarded prizes. Cash bar provided by Garfield Brewery, and light snacks provided by Storytelling Arts of Indiana.
