Make Your Mark: Dream - Opening Reception

Fiber artists are “making their mark” in a special exhibit at the Raymond James Stutz Art Gallery, featuring art that represents “dream.” The exhibit features a unique show of wall art, sculpture and other fine arts made from various types of fibers, including some highly technical pieces. “Make Your Mark” features a textile piece created to represent shag tree bark, a 3D dimensional piece suspended from the ceiling, felting with silk and roving creatively mounted that gives way to let your imagination run free, and much more. Fiber artists are often known to push the envelope with everyday materials and make them appear completely different than how they were intended originally – and this exhibit proves just that. This exhibition celebrates the distinctive marks of several uniquely individual artists and works that represent “dreams” to them. The Nov. 6 opening reception is a part of IDADA First Friday Art Tour.

Exhibit runs through Nov. 20, Monday-Friday 11 am – 2 pm
