Born in Taiwan and raised in Australia, Ray Chen was a child prodigy who gained attention as first-prize winner at the Yehudi Menuhin (2008) and Queen Elizabeth (2009) competitions. Since then, he has released a series of acclaimed recordings on the Sony and Decca labels and performed across Europe, Asia and the Americas with leading orchestras including the London and Los Angeles philharmonics.
