The Joy of Abstraction

Many artists have abstracted (changed) images from their original form into creative, expressive shapes. In this class we will look at inspiring pieces from art history and create a series of paintings using abstract methods. Advanced students can learn to loosen up and beginning students can learn to control their brushwork without the pressure of trying to be realistic! Taught by professional artist, Addie Hirschten

Materials: Bring six 11” x 14” or larger canvases, acrylic or oil paints, brushes, palette, and sketchbook.
