Today when we talk about an author brand we are talking about building an image, perception or identity so that people will not look for a specific title by you, they will simply say/wonder: does XYZ have anything new out for me to read? Today, we will focus on building an audience long before you are ready to publish because in today’s publishing market, agents/editors/publishers expect you to already have a following before they will even think about adding you to their client list. We will discuss: blogging, social media, website development, speaking engagements, networking opportunities, to name a few.
