Young Actors Theatre | Spring Classes at Central State

Young Actors Theatre an Indy-based theatre company that creates original works with– and for– school-age students.  In a year where kids are sorely missing peer-to-peer connections, we have crafted virtual and social-distanced theatre classes to help bridge the gap. Since 1976, YAT has provided a unique theatrical experience for K-12th graders. We believe that theatre is for everyone, and that creating plays from the ground up builds the confidence, creativity, and discipline that students need on stage and beyond the stage.

This spring, we are offering K-3rd grade, 4th-8th grade, and 9th-12th grade classes inspired by Cinderella. Each play will build a story from a different character’s perspective– the fairy godmother, the prince, and more! Join us for a new adventure in-person, online, or in a hybrid class. All in-person classes are socially-distanced, outdoor when possible, and masked. And every class ends with an outdoor performance in May!
