Indianapolis writer and native, Theresa R. McMiller born in 1971. She grew up in a working class family. She was raised by her deceased grandparents, Jimmie Lee Posey and Rosemond Posey after her parents divorced when she was four years old. Theresa loves animals especially cats. In 1997, Theresa R. McMiller’s poem, “A Union of Elements” appeared in Quill Books’ poetry collection, “Echoes In The Silence”. In 20o1, Theresa wrote a short story, “The Forbidden Child” published by a national magazine, Today’s Black Woman Magazine. Theresa’s first historical fiction novel, Sensual Sovereigns published by America Star Books, formerly called, Publish America in 2005. The novel demonstrates Theresa’s love for both Black history and romance. In 2008, America Star Books published Theresa’s follow-up historical fiction, Nubian Conqueror. The focus of Nubian Conqueror is the family of royal Nubians who conquered and ruled Egypt for sixty years. Not to stay in one genre, Theresa published her first children’s book, Bessie Goes All Over The World in 2012. The story of a UK dog, a Pembroke Corgi who travels about the British Commonwealth with her owners, Mr. and Mrs. Blake.
