I once had a dream about an enormous shipwreck. Each of the scattered passengers carried artifacts, memories, and pieces of the broken ship. As more people find each other and share their visions and assets, we gradually remember who we are, who we can become, and how to build a new vehicle to continue exploring. Every creative act: writing, performing and visual arts, regenerates a piece of that story and is a beacon to others who share that vision. I create because I want to recall, rejoin, and regenerate our collective dream.
I create art because I am a storyteller. When I create a mural in a medical office, for example, the message is: here is a moment of love, hope, laughter, peace. When I illustrate a text, my objective is to augment, illuminate, can clarify in a way that engages the reader and respects the intent of the author. In my personal art, I present glimpses of life that I hope are relatable and thought-provoking.
Murals are $25 per square foot, with a $500 minimum. This includes up to three detailed, color preliminary sketches, an optional matte varnish (recommended, as it also has UV protection), and reasonable repair for one year after completion (vandalism and anything beyond normal wear and tear are not covered).
Please inquire about illustration pricing.
A deposit of 50% of the total price is required to start, along with a signed agreement. The remaining balance is due upon completion. All payments are due upon receipt of invoice. I accept checks, cash, PayPal, and Venmo.
