As a “Purveyor of Magic Beans and Seeds of Truth,” I specialize in putting a pulse to the past through first-person storytelling presentations. Favorite performances include Jack’s Mama, stories from the Appalachian oral tradition; Abigail Gray: Living under the Drinking Gourd, a program about Indiana’s Underground Railroad that engages audience participation (as most of my shows do); and biblical accounts–my latest being The Innkeeper’s Wife.
Grants and commissions include those from
Storyteller, workshop presenter, and writer of tween and adult fiction, creative nonfiction, poetry, curricula, and blogs.
