“Spring: Spirited and Majestic” concert features pianist May Phang performing Tchaikovsky’s beloved Piano Concerto No. 1 in B-flat minor, Op. 23. Works by Jennifer Higdon, Li Huanzhi and Paul Addison Francis complete the program.
The Philharmonic premieres the work by Crown Point High School student Paul Addison Francis, whose composition won the Indiana Music Education Association’s annual competition. Greencastle pianist May Phang, who has appeared with leading US and international orchestras, will play Piano Concerto No. 1 in B-flat minor, Op. 23.
