MIXED MEDIA:
For centuries humans have created art purely to express what was inside them, begging to be let out. Feeling a strong connection to the primal markings our ancestors used in their caves, on the cliffs, with piles of stones and even in the wet earth, I manipulate layers of materials with my hands and other simple tools as a way to connect back to those primitive urges. Creating artwork that fuses individual elements into unique multi-layered images is my passion. I love to experiment with textures, colors, styles and techniques! Some of the mediums I intermix to create my art include collage, drawing, photography, acrylic paints, digital art, watercolor, concrete and metal. You are likely to see text and found objects within my creations as well. In addition to being aesthetically pleasing, I strive to make artwork that requires a second look, and then perhaps a third as you explore the textures and discover things hidden within each piece.

Except for basic art instruction in high school and select workshops as an adult, I am a self-educated artist. My curiosity has led me explore many artistic techniques, blending bits and pieces of each into my current style of work. I enjoy sharing my enthusiasm for artistic exploration in workshops and one-on-one instruction with other creative souls.
