Punctuated Equilibrium is a theory of evolutionary biology which posits that evolution manifests in periods of sustained stability, punctuated by instances of dramatic change as opposed to prolonged, incremental metamorphosis. Borrowing from this model, this body of work in process re-examines and activates the same subjects and creative techniques employed in the Transmutation suite while also exploiting the rapid advancement of digital imaging technology that has taken place over the last five years.
