I returned to art late in life. Although I was always interested in art, I never saw it as something I wanted to share. After attending a gala that celebrated the works of many local artists, I became inspired once again to create and have been frantically doing so since 2015.

About My Work:

I call my artwork “Urban Abstract.” My paintings are modern and engaging, colorful and bold. I use acrylics, inks, oils to depict my viewpoint of the world as I see it. Sometimes my pieces are busy, but more than anything, my pieces are full of vibrant colors. Scientist say that colors portray mood and literally affect the way we see images. I see my art in that same way. My art uses color to reflect the beautiful people, scenes and scenarios that move me. Recently, I have ventured off into the world of Collage art. I am still perfecting my style, but I love the idea of using bits of paper and other materials to produce even more colorful works of art.

“So much of the world is black and white, I believe my purpose on this earth is to add some color back into it, one piece at a time.”
