Currently, Deignan is using sculpted figures to create photographed illustrations that were inspired by the work of Chris Sickels. By using polymer clay, wire, foam, and carefully hand-stitched, miniature clothes, Deignan is able to bring her whimsical characters to life. This body of work has provided a unique challenge for Deignan to use a multitude of skills such as painting, sculpting, and sewing to create one harmonious illustration.
