My name is Kelly Skeens, and I am a visual artist based in the Indianapolis area. I work in mixed media and specialize in pushing the limits of epoxy resin as a medium.
I currently work full-time in marketing and am “Mom” to 4 (7, 10, 18, 24). I have primarily lived in Indianapolis my whole life and am currently a Lawrence resident.
Artist Style: Visual: Abstract, Assemblage, Collage, Contemporary, Experimental, Expressionistic, Interactive
Artist Medium: Visual Arts: Acrylic, Collage, Mixed Media; Epoxy Resin
I love when working with epoxy that it forces you to a time limit with the objective of achieving your vision and finding ways to express your idea by pushing the epoxy resin outside of its intended purpose.
My art comes from both my mind and soul and as my daughter says “This is my happy place”. I strive to share my art for all to experience their own happy place.
