Rodrigo Cardoso was born in Portugal and lived most of his life amongst tropical cultures.
He’s experienced the African spirit in Angola and South Africa where he lived for a total of 5 years. His most recent years have been amongst the colors and sounds of the Amazon. Rodrigo has always been fascinated by indigenous cultures and he shows it through his work!
Artist Medium: Visual Arts: Acrylic, Bronze, Drawing Media, Earth, Fiber/Fabric, Oil, Photography, Wood; copper
Cubist and surreal with an emphasis on earth tones and texture. Subjects are mostly ethnic in nature with a nature and/or everyday life motif. I’m influenced by my experiences with different cultures and try hard to not be influenced by other artists. Texture is very important to me and I would like to keep incorporating more of it in my paintings as space/money allows. For example, I want to experiment more with copper, dirt and natural fibers into my pieces.
Pricing ranges from $500 – $2,200. Just depends on the piece.
