I have always had an interest in art, but seriously began to focus on painting once my children were grown. I am mainly self-taught. I seek to put clarity and detail in my work, making each subject as realistic as possible. I aim to capture the personality of the people and animals I paint, thereby making each painting special.
I work in Soft Pastel, Watercolor and Oil, but my favorite is Soft Pastel. My subjects range from portraits of pets and/or their people, wildlife, floral and nature scenes. Except for some commissioned paintings, I work from my own photos, which allows me to include enough detail to make each painting a unique rememberance of special people, animals or occasions.
Commissioned paintings start at $175. Other paintings vary according to size. Limited edition archival giclee prints start at $30 and vary depending on size. Notecards are $2.50 each.
