Inspired by my childlike interests as well as experiences which happen in my life, I paint my imagination on the world around me.
When working with clients, I prefer to create their world in high quality — I don’t suggest anyone go with my brand when working on their own project, we will instead develop their brand and identity to better differentiate themselves in the vast marketplace of today.

I’ve always enjoyed drawing, painting, & making things. I am particularly fond of outdoor/public art projects. Always looking forward to my next project, big or small, and finding clever design solutions.

Growing up in a family of artists, I began painting at an early age. I am passionate about children’s literature and believe illustrations are a wonderful way to expose a child to fine art. In addition to maintaining an independent art studio in Butler Tarkington, I work as a commercial interior designer and have extensive experience with public space design.

Creating art is directly related to the way I process life events and my spiritual journey. I work in various 2D mediums as well as making artist books. I love printmaking, painting, drawing and mixed media creating. If I am trying to answer a philosophical or emotional question for myself, I know that if I go to my studio and get busy, I will find the answer I am looking for.

Drew Avery is an up and coming artist, currently working on an informatics degree while residing in the Saint Joseph neighborhood in downtown Indianapolis. Utilizing a decisively self-taught method of illustration, drawing upon architectural paradigms unique to the city and Mile Square heritage, Avery creates a very individual medium focused on the abstractions and splendor of our architectural heritage as citizens of Indianapolis and the World.
The aforementioned style exhibits highly patterned, meticulous ink work, epitomized in the Cityshapes series. These decisively analog methods of illustration are intentional given the highly digital context of our world. The goal being to simply steward and foster conversation about architectural heritage, the artist’s role in the community and increase public access to the greater conversation regarding land-use policy and urban planning.

Mandykae is a multi-faceted creative person who began her career in art and has expanded her talents into many areas such as digital media, fashion design, graphic design, creative marketing, make up artistry, web design, and most of all photography. At a very early age, she learned to paint. Throughout childhood she had won many prestigious art awards, including The Scholastic Art & Writing Gold/Silver Key Awards. Upon graduating, MK started working for Christian Dior as a makeup artist. She then traveled assisting in backstage make up for models alike. This opened up her eyes to the world of modeling as she did some beauty modeling as well. Through modeling she learned the power of posing and photography. It reminded her of how her late grandfather taught her how to develop negatives in his XRay lab. She then continued this passion with his expertise. As an adult, her art and photography started to receiving recognition from the local art scene and beyond. She opened up an art and photography studio in 2007 where she held weekly art functions and fashion shows. As Mandykae was offered a job to travel internationally as a Playboy Golf photographer, she had to close up shop. This created even more exciting things. She was named “Hottest Photographer!” She had the pleasure meeting some of the top photographers in the beauty/fashion industry which later led them to hiring her for major shoots. These shoots have led her to become a published photographer. In 2009, MK hired Forward Motion for video production services. Since then, she has joined forces to aide in building a multi-media power house of success. Although she is Art Director and provides art direction, Mandykae assists on sets, collaborates creative direction with talent & clients, scouts talent, provide beauty direction, shoots behind the scenes, coordinates wardrobe, directs events and social media. Completely self-taught, she has parlayed her expertise in Adobe InDesign, Adobe Photoshop, Dreamweaver, Corel Draw, Corel Paint, Corel Photoshop, Quark Xpress, Macromedia Dreamweaver, Macromedia Flash, HTML, and more.

I paint large interior and exterior murals. My subject matter is figurative, landscape, architecture, representational, portrait and many other subjects. I use oil, acrylic or house paint. I use boom lifts and scaffolding to reach heights. I also paint smaller canvas paintings. I have painted many historical, diverse, ethnic murals.

Not my words, but I live by them. “Art is not an end in itself, but a means of addressing humanity.”

Intuition is a guiding hand in my decision making process, from color schemes to composition and subject matter. I draw how I feel, and hidden meaning often lurks behind surfaces of oil paint, charcoal, graphite, and other various media. My hands are often my main instrument, bridging the intimate connection between maker and creation.
Each work fluctuates in style, just as my day to day mood and demeanor do. My art is a refusal to remain stagnant; each piece a subconscious megaphone for my feelings, coupling dull colors with vibrant, intense hues. There is intention in each movement– even chaos can be calculated.
Visual Arts: Illustration, Painting, Visual Arts Instructor; Comic Books
Using the power of stories as my inspiration I seek to tell them visually with expressive and stylized art. With book illustrations, comics, and story boards I bring my stories, and my clients ideas, to life. Through intricate detail, lighting, atmosphere, and the sublties of emotion I capture stories to share.

As an artist I’ve pretty much been in the closet until now. My work has always been visual and I have used a wide spectrum of mediums including oil and acrylic painting, watercolors, and pretty much anything that will soak into a brush. in addition, I’ve used everything from hemp ash, and charcoal to grasses and berries to draw with. I can’t forget the trusty number 2 pencil. I have also used different computer software to create wall hangings as well as animations and short films. To close this tiny bio I want to say that I have lived in Indianapolis my entire life and I’m excited to become a part of this artist community.

My creations symbolize a range of emotions conveyed through the use of textures, strokes, colors, and mediums. I enjoy working with various mediums to form artwork that is affective, particularly the ‘bright side of the dark side’ or the ‘dark side of the bright side.’ My inspiration comes from life’s adventures, experiences, and encounters. Throughout my youth, I spent my spare time drawing and painting, and now I enjoy participating in the arts by sharing my own creations as well as supporting fellow artists in the celebration of individuality.

Brown’s work focuses on the kinetics of the figure as slow motion events captured in time with blurs of the micro-second. His work explores the lines within the movement of multiple light defining “gray areas” that are, in fact, full of color.

Broyer’s art career began in a formalized elementary education art program in Evansville, IN. In addition, throughout her early learning and primary education, Marie was offered participation in specialty art programs within the public-school systems and the local community. Nearing the end of high school, she chose to finish her curriculum at the inaugural charter “Signature School.”
Furthermore, with the availability of this new artistic program, she focused her studies on contemporary art and editorial content. Most of all, Broyer won numerous awards for editorial illustration and content. In addition, was granted the opportunity as a high school student to participate in the juried Oakland City College (now Oakland City University) Art Exhibit. Thus, she participated in her first exhibit and at the age of seventeen and awarded a college level honorable mention.
During this time, The University of Southern Indiana (USI) School of Liberal Arts Board of Directors selected (Stonestreet) Broyer as a recipient for a full liberal arts scholarship. While at USI, she earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Liberal Arts majoring in Advertising and Public Relations and focused on fine arts and marketing. Then, she studied under the artist in residence, Ms. Judy Chicago, in New Harmony, IN and traveled the country. Primarily, she studied the artists of the modern and impressionistic movement.
Most of all, Broyer found herself inspired by the Impressionist and Fauvist movements. “In essence the movement is a realist perspective through the eyes of the artist, not a photograph.” Furthermore, she seized those concepts and built her own style through creating layers of texture, line and color.
Now, she applies her formal training through working in commercial art, digital marketing communications and as an educator teaching adult and youth art classes in her country-side studio. In addition, she continues to learn and expand her knowledge base to further enhance the artist community.
In conclusion, Marie currently resides in Central Indiana working in the fine art and the marketing communications industry. For over two decades, she continues to grow as a professional fine artist and individual. Broyer’s representation spans regional museums, private shows, public exhibitions and juried fairs. Contributing the donation of time and art to public service initiatives, she adds her flair of unique business initiatives and an artistic perspective to the local community.

What is Quixotic Artistry? It is first and foremost, my brand. It’s whimsy, it’s being able to look failure directly in the eye, and say “f*&# off”, and turn it into success. It’s my past heartbreak, and my feelings of insecurity. Ironically, it is my suit of armour, and my confidence. It is Assemblage, fashion design, makeup artistry, and graphics. It is choreography, it is design. It’s perfect balance. It is the rebirth of my failed attempts at becoming a fashion designer, yet is the new life of a new approach. It is the phoenix, that is rising from the ashes of what I thought to be the end of a journey. Alas, my journey is not over. What is Quixotic | Artistry ? It is whatever that I want it to be, and will be everything that I quixotically dream it to be.
